Crownmark Games is hiring an experienced commercial leader to develop trusted partnerships, market opportunities, and responsible growth in Cambodia.

About the role

The Business Development Manager represents Crownmark Games with sound commercial judgment, local market knowledge, and professional integrity. The role builds durable relationships, identifies practical opportunities, and helps the company grow responsibly in Cambodia.

This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who understands what it means to own commercial outcomes. The successful candidate works directly with Crownmark leadership and coordinates with company, community, and game operations teams.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and evaluate partnership and growth opportunities in Cambodia.
  • Build trusted relationships with businesses, community leaders, event partners, resellers, and other relevant organisations.
  • Lead early commercial discussions and prepare clear proposals for management review.
  • Maintain an organised pipeline of contacts, opportunities, commercial terms, commitments, and follow-up actions.
  • Report market feedback and commercial risks accurately to Crownmark leadership.
  • Coordinate with company, community, and game operations teams when a partnership affects players or public communications.
  • Represent Crownmark Games professionally at meetings, partner discussions, and relevant industry or community events.

Experience and requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in business development, partnerships, sales, account growth, commercial leadership, or a closely related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience owning or operating a business, with direct responsibility for revenue, budgets, negotiations, staff, or commercial outcomes.
  • At least 2 years of experience working directly with established brands or national or regional business accounts on partnerships, campaigns, sales, distribution, sponsorships, or commercial projects.
  • Strong understanding of Cambodia's business environment and a demonstrated ability to develop credible local professional networks.
  • Professional proficiency in spoken and written English and Khmer, with the ability to lead meetings, negotiate terms, write formal correspondence, and present commercial proposals clearly.
  • Strong negotiation, relationship management, planning, and follow-through.
  • Confidence preparing proposals, presentation decks, commercial budgets, pipeline reports, and structured follow-up records.
  • The legal right to work in Cambodia and the ability to travel within Cambodia when business needs require it.
  • Experience in games, technology, digital services, media, or community-led products is an advantage.

Professional standards

  • Good judgment, integrity, discretion, and the ability to protect confidential company and partner information.
  • Accurate written records of discussions, proposals, commitments, risks, and next actions.
  • Transparent disclosure of conflicts of interest and any existing commercial relationships relevant to the role.
  • Verifiable employment or business history and at least two professional references.
  • Willingness to complete identity, reference, and appropriate background checks with the candidate's knowledge and consent.
